Southern Throwdown 7, on September 15th 2019, at the Bomb Factory in the Deep Ellum district of Dallas offered up a day full of killer vintage motorcycles and vans, the best BBQ in DFW from The Bucking Pig, live music, and awesome people.
Took a bit of a break from photography to focus on capturing video content in the month of August, so the photo offerings are a bit light. Still managed to get a handful great shots, particularly of Other Life Cycles’ Bavarian Creampuff BMW restoration.
It actually kind of sucks being a motorcyclist in Texas in July. Triple-digit temps are the norm, and staying cool and hydrated is basically impossible. The heat of the Texas summer was in full force through June. Though the sun was sweltering, it wasn’t keeping anyone away from riding or gathering on the Square to hang out.
Temps and the turnout on The Square were both on the rise in May. Also squeezed in a few rides with some buddies of mine.
The crews from the Denton Independent Motorcycle Show and Denton Moto Collective threw down with a Cinco de Moto fiesta on May 5th 2019. It was a veritable sea of cool bikes, great people, and good times.
With temperatures on the rise, and the sun making its presence known with greater frequency, the turnout at bikes & coffee at West Oak steadily increased through April. The way the riders in Denton fill the Square here can be a sight to behold.
