Custom bike builder, entrepreneur, and proprietor of Busy’s Speed Shop, Busy B (Instagram: busysspeedshop) picked up this 2001 Harley-Davidson FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide back in 2015, and has transformed it into a slammed brawler with classic chopper styling for a bike that absolutely oozes with a killer mix of laid-back aggression.
This Wide Glide is absolutely decked out in custom touches and details. From dice valve stem caps, a classic Ford style taillight, Kuryakyn Alley Cat air cleaner (available on Revzilla), Joker Machine serrated footpegs (available on Revzilla), old school grips, a Coors Banquet bottle cap choke knob, and hidden horn and starter buttons, this Dyna reveals more of its secrets the more time you spend with it. Of course, most striking of all its custom touches is the candy garnet paint, that glistens and sparkles with thick crystalline clear coat and bold metal flake, and reveals hidden patterns, lace, sugar skulls, and other details in the sunlight. No stranger to wearing many hats, it comes as no surprise that Busy B did the paint job himself.
Powered by an 88″ Twin Cam engine that snarls through wrapped straight pipes, this old carbureted Dyna barks and growls as it rips down the streets. The cadence and tone is unmatched by modern fuel-injected Harleys, and gives a powerful voice to a motorcycle that is a one-of-a-kind mix of all its influences from a unique builder and owner.
